Garden Mix · Brass Stitch Markers

Eight closed-ring markers cut from solid brass, one of every flower in the garden: poppy, buttercup, plumeria, daisy, lily, cosmos, clematis and sunflower. The poppy is copper, so the start of your round is the one that looks different.

They're flat, a little heavier than they look, and tumbled smooth all the way round. No seam, no join, nothing to catch on a strand of mohair. A closed ring can't leave the needle mid-round, which is the whole point of a marker.

Sized for the sweaters most of us actually knit: they slide freely on needles up to US 9 (5.5 mm) and sit without rattling on a US 4. Eight covers a raglan with a pair either side of each line, or a lot of lace repeats.

They come in a seed packet, on a card, with their names on the back. Plant one in your notions pouch and it'll still be there in twenty years.

Keeping

Bare brass warms to a soft patina with handling, which we think is the nice part. A dry cloth brings it back bright if you'd rather. Take them off before you wet-block.
